At Ibi Idris Academy, our mission is to deepen your connection with the Quran through personalised and engaging learning experiences. We believe that memorising the Quran is a journey that transforms lives, and we are dedicated to making this journey accessible and enriching for everyone.

We have noticed that many people are interested in memorizing the Quran but think it is an impossible task. We are here to show that with time, dedication, and the correct guidance, it is very attainable to become a hafidh/hafidha. No matter where in the world you are, you can start your journey right here. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, “The best amongst you is the one who learns Quran and teaches it.

Our Story

Founded by Qari Ibrahim Idris, our academy was born from a passion for Quranic education and a vision to create a supportive learning community. Qari Ibrahim completed his memorisation of the Holy Quran by the age of 12 in London, UK, under the guidance of his father, also a Qari, who gained his qualifications in Mansoura, Egypt. Unfortunately, due to lifestyle choices, Qari Ibrahim forgot his Quran by age 15 while pursuing a career in professional football. Having been accepted for a two-year scholarship at a well-known football academy, Ibrahim had a big choice to make: sacrifice his dreams for one year to relearn his Quran or try to balance the two. Alhamdulillah, Allah guided him to take one year out to study in a boarding school to relearn his Quran. By a miracle from Allah, when he came back, he went on trial and was accepted for the same two-year football scholarship at the same well-known academy.

From that year onwards, Ibrahim made a promise to himself that he would never let the memory of the Quran fade and committed to making it his life mission to be able to recite the Quran and teach others the same, Inshallah.

After spending a lot of time living in Egypt studying the Quran, tajweed, and the beauty of memorisation, “Ibi Idris Academy” was born.

Roadmap to Success

Phase 1

You will begin your journey with a short course that will give you a greater understanding of the mentorship and let you know how it will work and what to expect.

Phase 2

Once you understand how to navigate through your journey, you will be assigned a partner (if you don’t already have one) who will accompany you through your entire Hifdh journey. You will be reciting and testing each other daily to reach your goals. You will be part of a community whose sole focus is to memorise the Quran, enabling you to progress faster as you will be immersed in the Quran and its beauty.

Phase 3

On a weekly basis, you will have tests to ensure your progress is going well, and you will be quizzed on what you have done each week to ensure the Quran stays in your long-term memory. You will also be able to join free Zoom classes where you can listen to beautiful Quran recitations and ask questions to help you gain a deeper understanding.

Phase 4

Now that you have memorised portions of the Quran and practiced melodies, you will begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Soon, you will have nearly accomplished the task of memorising the Holy Quran. We will now begin the next phase.

Phase 5

Alhamdulillah! You have now memorised the Holy Quran. Now, we will spend time perfecting your memorisation and tajweed, ensuring you are able to lead Taraweeh prayers and making sure the Quran will be your companion for life.

Phase 6

The most exciting phase begins now. You will be given various options on how you want to proceed with your journey. You will be guided in whatever your next venture is. Here at Ibi Idris Academy, we have had students who wanted to go to Egypt to perfect their tajweed and melody and gain an Ijaazah. So, we devised a plan and gave them access to our great network of highly qualified teachers to assist them in this journey.

Many students, after memorising the Quran, are unsure of what to do next. However, here at Ibi Idris Academy, we ensure that you will not have that feeling. We provide guidance and all our resources to make your next steps much easier.
